Communications Division

The Communications Division primary responsiblity is to increase awareness of the importance of conserving the natural and cultural resources of Texas, increse participation in outdoor reacreational activities and encourage safe, legal an ethical behavior among resource users. Through a wide range of media products and marketing efforts, the Communications Division drives traffic to the agency's revenue-producing products including hunting and fishing licenses, boat registrations, both day and overnight park visitation as well as other special programs and events. Communications Division products include the TPWD website, a weekly PBS television series, the Texas Parks & Wildlife monthly magazine, a weekly video news report program, the Passport to Texas radio series, video production, photography, plus a wide range of internal and external publications and other public information items. The division also provides the state's mandatory boater and hunter education program conservation initiatives, urban outreach programs, and the annual Texas Wildlife Expo.

All purchasers for this division are located in Austin.
