I. Executive Summary: Volunteers
are an important component
of the State Parks Division
workforce. The presentation
will provide an introduction
to the Commission on the
types of duties performed
by volunteers, the amount
of volunteer labor used
in parks and the value of
this work. Also highlighted
will be the partnership
between the Texas Department
of Criminal Justice and
TPWD, with examples of the
work performed by inmates
in our parks.
