14th Annual African American Heritage Festival
Join the Texas Buffalo Soldiers Heritage and Outreach Program - Texas Parks and Wildlife as we take part in the 14th annual African American Heritage Festival. The buffalo soldiers will set up a small encampment to share stories on the historic contributions of the first professional African Amercian Soldiers in the peace time army as well as a few fun and games.

An annual event since 2000, the African-American Heritage Festival in Austin on the last Saturday of February culminates Black History Month with one final celebration of African-American culture and contributions.
Hosted on the peaceful campus of Huston-Tillotson University just blocks from downtown Austin, the festival features vendors, live music, children's activities, and even health screenings and information.
