Angler Education Instructor Workshop

This free workshop is open to anyone 18 or older interested in teaching the basics of fishing in their communities. The workshop provides the curriculum, equipment, materials and support to help volunteers succesfully introduce youth and their families to fishing. Ideal for teachers, youth group leaders, afterschool or camp staff. SBEC credit available for teachers. Participants should wear comfortable clothing for outdoor activities, wear hat, sunglasses and bring a sack lunch and a water bottle.  Workshop is being held at the group recreation hall at Lake Whitney State Park form 9am to 2pm on February 28th with a short break for lunch.  The $3 park entrance fee will be waived for anyone attending and completing the workshop.  Preregistration is required, please contact Caleb Harris at caleb.harris@tpwd.state.tx.us or (512) 348-4472 to sign up.
