Annual Kite Day

Children of all ages are invited to Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site to make and fly an old fashioned 1900's kite. Kites from home are also welcome. Come out for a great day to go fly a kite.

Children of all ages are invited to Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site to make and fly an old fashioned 1900's kite.  The park will provide all of the supplies and materials.  Staff and Volunteers will be on hand to help kids assemble and fly their creative kites.  Kites from home are also welcome!  Visitors should stop at the Visitor's Center to receive a free permit and directions to the Annual Kite Day Event.
