Basic Fly Fishing Class

Join us for a pleasant afternoon introducing you to the great sport of fly fishing. We’ll learn about casting, aquatics (the bugs in the river), how to rig the rod, what to tie on the end of the leader, and where to throw it (to find the fish). All equipment will be furnished. No need for wading. No experience required. No hooks will be used. Sponsored by the Hill Country Fly Fishing Club. Meet at the Dietert Center parking lot (451 Guadalupe St. Kerrville, TX 78028) for orientation, and then the group will walk to the river behind the Center.
