Birding can be done almost anywhere and Sheldon Lake State Park & Environmental Learning Center attracts nearly 250 different types of birds. If you are just starting out or have conquered your back yard and want to see more, this is your opportunity. Take a walk with the Park Naturalist and learn which birds are the most abundant here, then try and spy something new to you. Wear sturdy shoes, bring water and dress for the weather. Bring a field guide and binoculars if you have them (not required). Limited pairs of binoculars are available for loan from the park. Accessible for the mobility impaired.
