Bird enthusiasts can flock to Copper Breaks State Park at 3:00 p.m. to explore designing and building bird habitats, watching stations, and houses. Park Raner Carl Hopper will lead the informative workshop which will highlight the bird species native to this area and what they need in the way of water supply, food sources, and cover.
Copper Breaks offers excellent opportunities for the bird watcher. In addition to the year round residents, the park is on a major fly way for the annual migrations.
Throughout the afternoon, participants may also decorate their own bird house and take it home. Pre constructed bird houses are avialable for a small donation to the park friend group.
