Join us to learn about the science of bird banding. You'll have beak-to-nose encounters with local wintering songibirds of the park and natural area, from cardinals and chickadees to our native wintering sparrows. We'll conduct our banding this weekend at Honey Creek State Natural Area so plan to meet at the Headquarters at Guadalupe River State Park. Be sure to bring a chair of some kind to sit on and dress for the weather. We will be hiking through long grass and brush.
