Join Park Ranger and Bird Bander Craig Hensley for a morning of bird banding. We'll be capturing, banding and releasing songbirds found in the area during our winter months. From cardinals to chickadees, you'll see the birds up close and personal, learn about the science of bird banding and help release the banded birds back to the wild. A great way to introduce children to the beauty of birds! We'll meet at the Park Headquarters at 9 a.m. and then head over to Honey Creek SNA off of Spring Branch road. This program will be held outdoors so be sure to dress for the weather and please bring a chair in which to sit.
