The Davis Mountains have a huge diversity of birds, both local residents and seasonal visitors! Our Park Host will teach you all about birding, what species to look for, and how to identify them! This Spring Break program series will take you to various viewing areas in the park to see which of our feathered friends are hanging out.

On Sundays and Thursdays, the meeting spot will be the Interpretive Center, with Sundays including a Birding 101 class.

Mondays and Wednesdays, the meeting spot will be the Montezuma Quail Viewing Station on the park's main road.

On Tuesdays, the walks will take place in the Limpia Canyon Primitive Area - be prepared to provide your own transportation from the Interpretive Center. These walks will also have a portion dedicated to the region's plant life.

Walks are of varying length, but all are on easy, flat trails or paved road; wear appropriate shoes. Please leave pets at home as they may scare away the birds.

All offered programs are free of charge; regular entrance fees apply.
