Mrs. A.L. Morgan wrote in a 1941 article in Texas Parade that spring is "when the sky falls on Texas" due to the bluebonnet bloom. And our state flower is already blooming here at Lake Casa Blanca! Join us for a short walk to see the bluebonnets, and find out the flower's story as well, including how it came to be the Texas state flower, an old legend about bluebonnets, and where the bluebonnet fits in with the rest of nature. There will be plenty of time for photos, too, so bring your camera!
Meet at the Main Park Entrance. All ages welcome!
Park programs are open to the public and free with park entrance. No need to register--just show up!
