This is a spectacular event including, trail races, a Dutch Oven Cook-Off, an Art Show, Bird ID contest, ranger led hikes and programs on tracking, bat house construction, camping tips, horned lizards and more. We will also be providing entertainment as the ‘Moondogs Trio’, a local band, will be playing at the Indian Lodge on Friday, the 25th.

7th Annual Horned Toad Cook Off
Copper Breaks State Park
Sanctioned by the Lone Star Bar-B-Que Society, the cook off offers competition in Brisket, Ribs, and Chicken. In addition to the three main categories a steak competition is offered on Friday night. On site registration and the steak competition start on Friday, April 25. Winners are announced on Saturday April 26 around 3pm. Participants may register before the 25th.
