Explore the Night Sky

Explore the night sky over the canyon with the San Antonio Astronomical Association.View Mars, Jupiter, perhaps Mercury, star clusters and a universe of wonder. You can also learn the basics of telescope operation. Bring your own telescope or binoculars, or use one of the SAAA’s telescopes. Please arrive by 5:45 PM.  Bring water, a snack if you like and your own flashlights with a red lens cover for it. Open to ages 12 and older; participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Natural Area entrance fees apply. Reservations required and may be made beginning on Oct. 11, 2012 and ending at noon on Friday Nov. 9, 2012. Include name, e-mail address and telephone number for each reservation and age of participants under 18. For reservations/additional information, e-mail fogcsna@gmail.com.  Program is subject to cancellation due to weather conditions.
