Fate Bell Shelter Pictograph Guided Tour

The park offers guided tours only on Wednesday through Sunday, throughout the month, and no reservations needed. Summer hours begin June 1 and last until Aug. 31 with only the 10 am/morning tour.

Attendees All ages are welcome, front/hip/back infant carriers and hiking sticks very helpful.

Come out to the park and take a guided-hike tour and descend into Seminole Canyon to view prehistoric paintings (pictographs).

Meet: at the Headquarters Building (museum) at 9:45 am to purchase tour tickets (ages 5 and up: the price is $5.00) and tour starts promptly at 10 am.

Length/Time: 2 miles round trip and 90 minutes

Trail Condition: Requires the climbing of numerous stairs and steep grades. Participants should be in good physical condition.

Dress for the desert environment: sunblock, floppy hat, long sleeves and closed-toe shoes.

Cameras are welcome.

NO - pets or strollers or unattended children.

Tours are cancelled in wet/extreme hot weather and other declared hazardous conditions.

Please drink water before, during and after the hike.

An entry fee of $3.00 per person ages 13 to adult (children to age 12 are free in all Texas State Parks).

If you purchase a Texas State Park Pass, you and your guest receive unlimited free entry into Texas State Parks for a year from date of purchase. Along with discounts on camping, park store purchases and equipment rentals (some restrictions apply). The pass can be purchased at the park.
