Please join us aboard the Battleship TEXAS from 10am to 5pm for our “Celebrate a Centennial Launching” event May 19th, 2012. Launched, May 18, 1912 the Battleship TEXAS is released from its building facility to float on its hull in the water. At 2:00 there will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and a cake to be enjoyed by all. This will be the second of three celebrations. The first event was to celebrate her Keel being Laid back on April 17th, 1911 and the third will be her Commissioning date of March 15th, 2014.
