First Day Hikes

Resolve to welcome the New Year with a First Day Hike at Lake Whitney State Park.  On this easy, one-mile guided hike, you’ll learn about the flora and fauna of the region as well as the role of the state park and outdoor recreation in physical fitness and wellness. Participants may want to bring hiking stick, sturdy shoes and drinking water.  Meet at the trail head next to the park’s Group Recreation Hall.
