Trail starts at a scenic overlook of the Rio Grande River and the mountains of Mexico and Big Bend Ranch State Park. The trail is approximately one-mile long, and takes approx. 1 ½ hours going down to the banks of the Rio Grande; along the way, hikers can see beautiful and curious shapes of eroded rock formations at the site, giving the trail the name HooDoos Trail. Participants will want to wear appropriate clothing according to weather, sturdy shoes and bring a hiking stick and drinking water. Meet at main headquarters at either Barton Warnock Visitor Center or Fort Leaton State Historic Site.
