First Day Hikes

Jump start the New Year with a beautiful walk to the water’s edge where you can catch a glimpse of shorebirds and feel the breeze off the lake. Hike is about one mile round trip and should last about an hour, as it winds through post oak savannah regions. Your park ranger guide will talk about the trees and wildlife that live in the area. Suggest hikers wear closed toe shoes and bring a hiking stick and a bottle of water.  Hikers meet at day-use restroom area.
