Join us in the beautiful desert mountains of far West Texas for a two-hour, 1 ½ -mile guided hike. Terrain will be moderate to difficult, with high elevation and ascent of some 940 feet. The trail has a series of benches and rest areas along the way in case anyone wants to stop for a brief rest or gaze at spectacular views. The hike ends atop Ranger Peak, at 5,632 ft. elevation. Topside has restroom facilities, gift shop and a patio area. Participants should register in advance for the hike (which is free), and will want to bring hiking boots, a hiking stick and drinking water. Folks can also ride the tramway up or down the mountain; one-way tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children. Meet at Directissimo Trailhead parking lot.
