Come join the park superintendent on a walk to the Cinco Tinajas through the arroyo from Sauceda and back again. Hike takes you through canyons and unique scenery of the Chihuahuan Desert, where despite the rugged terrain, wildlife abounds. Hike should last 2- 3 hours. Participants will want to wear hiking boots, and bring hiking stick and drinking water. Meet at Sauceda Ranger Station.
Advanced preparation is a must in Big Bend country, as the drive to Sauceda Ranger Station is more than an hour from the nearest paved road.
