First Day Hikes

Discover the wintertime traditions of plants, animals and historic people who have influenced the park, as we trek for a one mile, easy-to-moderate difficulty hike on the edge of the legendary Lost Pines forest of Central Texas. Participants may want to bring sturdy shoes, a hiking stick and drinking water. Meet at the park’s trailhead, near headquarters.
