Fort Richardson Days Living History Event

Fort Richardson State Park & Historic Site will celebrate our 146^th anniversary by turning back time, inviting all manner of living historians and historical re-enactors to take us back to the 1860’s and 1870’s.  Friday the 12^th will be dedicated to all school groups to participate and meet the presenters. Saturday the 13^th will be open to all visitors to meet and interact with the live-action, historical displays, and their characters. Activities and displays will likely include: camels, longhorns, gunfights, blacksmithing, Dutch oven cooking, dance lessons, and candle making, while the cavalry, infantry, and artillery show off their skills throughout the day.
