A full moon is a great time to explore the creatures of the night. Our Full Moon Hike is a guided tour 2 miles in total that is sure to be an unforgettable journey. Search for scorpions with a UV black light, identify night time insects, listen for owls that call our park home, and look for that Valley specialty bird the Common Pauraque catching a night time meal.
Flashlights are not needed as the park has some for the group and with the full moon the trails are bright enough to travel safely. If you do bring your own light red, blue, or green are preferred and help keep your night vision.
