What's a Muggle (hint: in this case, it's not "Non-wizarding folk"? What's a TravelBug? What's Geocaching, for that matter?
Discover the answers to all these questions and more as we embark upon Geocaching, a high-tech treasure hunt that you can do anywhere in the world. There's also special Geocache Challenges hidden within many of our Texas State Parks.
During this program, we will learn the basics of a GPS unit (provided), and we will search for "practice" Geocaches. Then we will use our newfound skills to find a real Geocache Challenge! Already been to one of our Geocaching 101 programs before? Don't worry, these are all brand-new locations!
Meet in front of the Boat Ramp Restrooms. Wear walking shoes and sun protection, and bring drinking water. All ages welcome!
Note: Park programs are open to the public and free with park entrance fee. No need to register--just show up!
