Come to Sheldon Lake State Park & Environmental Learning Center to learn the basics of this fast growing sport that merges the digital age with a love of the outdoors. Geocaching uses GPS technology to take you on a scavenger hunt finding items hidden throughout the park. No equipment or experience necessary. Then take the skills home with you and join in the fun using a Smartphone Application or your own handheld GPS. All ages welcome, children 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Advanced reservation is recommended as spaces are limited; call (281) 456-2800 x230. Meet under the Pond Center and be sure to wear closed toed shoes and dress for the weather. Accessible for the mobility impaired.
