Geocaching 101 Workshop

Attention all explorers… there’s a treasure hunt going on that combines technology with nature! Come learn how to Geocache with experienced geocachers Angie Gruber and the Friends of Government Canyon.  They’ll introduce you to Geocaching, and lead an exciting modern day treasure hunt using GPS technology to locate hidden caches. There will be instruction, group and individual exercises, as well as information on the new 2012 Texas State Parks Geocache Challenge! 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Some GPS units will be available for you to use if you do not have one of your own. Participants must be at least 8 years or older; all minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian; no pets please. Bring at least 1 liter of water per person, and a snack if you like.
