Geocaching is a type of treasure hunt using a gps unit to help find hidden “caches placed by people all over the world. Geocaches are everywhere from just down the street to the most remote wilderness area.  This program will teach the basics of using a GPS for geocaching and how to get started. Several GPS units will be available to use during the program.  After a short instructional program we will then try our new skill on the trail to hunt for hidden “caches”. Wear shoes appropriate for hiking, and bring water.
