Davis Mountains State Park and the Indian Lodge were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s and both parks are rich in history. Join a Ranger on a guided hike to learn more about the CCC, our parks, and the legacy that has been left behind. The 2 mile hike is of moderate difficulty and will take approximately 2 hours. We recommend you wear sturdy shoes and encourage you to bring enough water (16 oz. per hour of hiking).
Meet at the park's playground by 9:30 A.M. The hike will end at the Indian Lodge and Black Bear Restaurant, so if you plan to eat a post-hike lunch be sure to bring your wallet! Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome!
All offered programs are free of charge; regular entrance fees apply.
