Birders from all over the world come to the Davis Mountains to see our famous feathered friends - the Montezuma Quail! Join us on this moderate one mile hike on the Montezuma Quail Trail to get the scoop on these unique birds. This trail, though short, has rough terrain and steep inclines at points. We recommend you wear sturdy shoes and encourage you to bring enough water (16 oz. per hour of hiking).
Meet at the Quail Viewing Area by 9:30 A.M. Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome! The local humane society will have dogs available for the hike for any interested visitors, as well.
All offered programs are free of charge; regular entrance fees apply.
