Join a Ranger on our Thursday afternoon hikes! The hike will be on either the Indian Lodge Trail (1.7 miles) or the Montezuma Quail Trail (1 mile). Learn about wildlife, history, geology, and conservation! The hikes will be between one and two hours in length. We recommend you wear sturdy shoes and encourage you to bring enough water (16 oz. per hour of hiking). Bring hiking sticks, as well - both of these trails have loose rock and some steep areas.
Meet at the park's playground by 2:00PM. Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome! The local humane society will have dogs available for the hike for any interested visitors, as well.
For information on a specific day's hike, contact Nina Cardenas at (432) 426-3337 ext.224.
All offered programs are free of charge; regular entrance fees apply.
