Davis Mountains State Park and the Indian Lodge were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s and both parks are rich in history. Join a Ranger on a guided hike to learn more about the CCC, our parks, and the legacy that has been left behind. The 2.5 mile hike is of moderate difficulty and will take approximately 2 hours. We recommend you wear sturdy shoes and encourage you to bring enough water (16 oz. per hour of hiking).

Meet at the park's playground by 9:30AM. The hike will end at the Indian Lodge and Black Bear Restaurant, so if you plan to eat a post-hike lunch be sure to bring your wallet! Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome! The local humane society will have dogs available for the hike for any interested visitors, as well.

All offered programs are free of charge; regular entrance fees apply.
