Davis Mountains State Park offers some stunning views of the mountain vistas. Join us on a moderate 5 mile hike up to one of our terrific overlook points. Participate in the Outdoor Activity of the Month and take some photos of our beautiful scenery while learning about the park's natural history! The hike is long and will take approximately 3 hours. The ascent is steep at points with loose rocks and switchbacks. We recommend you wear sturdy shoes and encourage you to bring enough water (16 oz. per hour of hiking).Bring your hiking sticks, as well.
Meet at the Interpretive Center by 9:30AM. Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome! The local humane society will have dogs available for the hike for any interested visitors, as well.
All offered programs are free of charge; regular entrance fees apply.
