Guided Hike to the Protected Habitat

Members of the Activities Committee of the Friends of Government Canyon and other volunteers will lead a hike to the Protected Habitat Area. Group size is limited; no pets please. Participants must be at least 14 years of age and physically able to hike 12-13 miles over broken, rocky terrain with a good portion of elevation gain and loss. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Dress in layers appropriate to the weather; carry at least 3 liters of water per person, snacks, lunch, sunscreen, hat, and raingear. Wear sturdy, well-broken-in hiking shoes or boots. Reservations are required and will be accepted beginning at noon on December 5, 2012 and ending at noon on January 4, 2013.
