Join us for a special presentation on hunting in the Republic of Texas. Listen in as interpreters in period clothing tell exciting tales of hunting adventures in old time Texas. Examine the tools of the trade and feel the pelts and hides of the animals these men harvested. You will be surprised to learn of the many similarities between modern hunting, and hunting in 19th century Texas! This program is open to all ages but children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress appropriately for the season as the presentation takes place in a period setting. Meet at the park visitors’ center at between five to ten minutes prior to the scheduled tour times. Held at Washington on the Brazos SHS 12300 Park Rd. 12, Washington, TX 77880. Accessible for the mobility impaired. Program is $5 adults, $3 children, free for children 6 and under. Program subject to cancellation.
