Learn all about the growing outdoor challenge called geocaching: modern day treasure hunting! We will cover all the basics, including how to get set up to play, the gear you need the rules, and tips and tricks to start finding geocaches, then will go on a hunt to put our Geocaching skills to the test!
Introduction to Geocaching will begin at the amphitheater below the Activity Center with sample geocaches located throughout the Activity Center day-use area.
Reservations are requested for this activity due to limited amounts of equipment and can be made by calling Park Ranger Beth at 936-365-2201 x302 or by emailing Beth.Tragus@tpwd.texas.gov.
This activity is suitable for families and adventurers of all ages.
We recommend bringing a bottle of water and wearing comfortable, flat shoes when participating in any activities. Restrooms are available at the Headquarters, Activity Center, Marina, and in each camping loop.
Regular park admission fees of $5 per adult ages 13 and up apply; no additional charge for activities.
