Fish printing (gyotaku) and simple poetry (Haiku) are two forms of expression for the love of the natural world. Both forms of art originated from another island, Japan, but are making their way to Galveston.
Please join Ranger Lisa as we express and explore our world and create two wonderful take-home art pieces.
This quick, hour-long arts in the parks program will provide all materials and instructions for families, small groups, and anyone interested in art. (Washable paint will be available, but an extra shirt might be useful for messy participants.)
Want to earn prizes? Check out our Youth Arts In the Parks website for more information on how to win prizes for original art for ages 19 and under: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/state-parks/programs/arts-in-parks/
