Come explore on a Junior Ranger Hike at Goose Island State Park! Junior Ranger Explorer Hike's will focus on discovering the outdoors and nature. Prior to the hike we will go over the contents of a Junior Ranger Explorer Pack, on the hike we will complete an activity from the Junior Ranger Explorer Journal! Activities may be searching for certain items or creatures on the trail, learning bird identification skills, or learning about the things we find along the trail.
When: Meet on most Fridays and Sundays in August at 9:00 a.m. to beat the heat and explore the trail.
Where: We will meet at the Bird Sanctuary on Warbler Way at 9:00 a.m. The Bird Sanctuary is in the woods camping area of the park, and is next to the restrooms on Warbler Way.
Helpful things to bring: Water, bugspray, close toed shoes, binoculars and Junior Ranger Explorer Pack are optional. The trail is wide and easy to navigate.
Park Location: So where is Goose Island State Park? We are located north of Rockport Fulton across the Copano Causeway on 202 S. Palmetto, Rockport, Tx.
Goose Island State Park has a day use fee of $5 per person 13years of age and older, children 12 and under are free.
