The Friends of Guadalupe River State Park & Honey Creek invite you to join this five-hour workshop led by Park Interpreter Craig Hensley. This workshop will serve as an introduction/refresher to the birds of the Hill Country. From native sparrows to fall warblers, you’ll have the opportunity to learn who they are and how to go about identifying them. After an indoor presentation, we’ll head outdoors for on-the-spot identification practice. We’ll also take a look at several birds up close through a bird banding demonstration. This workshop does have limited enrollment and includes a $5 fee payable to the Friends Group on the day of the workshop. For more information or to register, please call 830.438.7653, or email Craig at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be sure to bring a sack lunch and drink, as well as binoculars and your field guide, if you have one.
