Mountain Jam Music Festival

This event will feature guided hikes and events, as well as an evening of music geared towards 15 to 30 year olds as part of the efforts of our statewide Texas State Parks Ambassadors program.

•Start: 5:30 p.m.

•Length:  4 – 5  hours

•*Details: TBD – This event will feature guided hikes and events, as well as an evening of music geared towards 15 to 30 year olds as part of the efforts of our statewide Texas State Parks Ambassadors program.  Part of the mission of this year’s first crew of Ambassadors is to highlight the parks within their respective regions, blog about their adventures, and conclude with a final project geared towards attracting younger visitors and park visitors.  Stay tuned for updates on activities and bands to be featured at this event!

Bring:  Water, snacks, sturdy hiking shoes/boots, hiking stick, folding chairs, camera, binoculars, a map and dogs are welcome on leashes!

Driving Directions to Tom Mays Unit: From Westside from I-10, take exit #6 & travel east towards Mountains for 3.8 mi., pass park entrance on left, make u-turn, entrance on right.  From Eastside on Hwy 54, exit Transmountain Rd, travel west 7 miles over/thru the mountains, Park entrance on the right.
