National Trails Day- Guided Hike

Everyone is welcome to meet a park ranger at the trailhead of the Texas Oak trail for a moderate difficulty hike of 1.5 miles to observe plants and wildlife and catch some great views of Lake Brownwood. You can also choose to join a ranger at the pavilion next to the Group Recreation Hall and hike the Lakeside Trail (easy to moderate and approx. 1mi.) showcasing the CCC’s development of our rustic and beautiful park. Bring plenty of water, sturdy shoes, binoculars, cameras and your favorite person to hike with as these hikes are open to anyone.
