North Texas Skywatch Amateur Astronomer’s Star Party

The star party is designed for amateur astronomers to get together and share ideas and experiences, learn new techniques, swap equipment and observe in a dark sky location. There will be a beginners astronomy slide presentation at sunset.  All park visitors are welcome to attend.  This event is a great opportunity for beginners to learn about astronomy and to have a chance to see the night sky through a wide variety of telescopes. Held at the Lone Star Amphitheater in Lake Mineral Wells State Park, 100 Park Road 71, Mineral Wells, TX, 76067. Accessible for the mobility impaired. The program is free with paid park entrance fee or a State Park Pass.
