You’re invited! Come celebrate Old Baldy the bald cypress tree’s birthday at this annual event. Austin’s current Tree of the Year and newly-recognized Famous Tree of Texas will be the guest of honor as we serve cake and have tours throughout the day. Cake will be served at 11 following the 10 a.m. tour. Tours to the tree are scheduled on the hour from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will meet at the Smith Visitor Center. This event is free after park admission and open to the public. State Park Pass holders and children 12 year of age and younger are admitted without charge.
