Educational program on owls

Meet us at the Nature Center at 10:00am until about 11:30am for a program on Owls. We will be discussing the different types of owls found at Martin Dies Jr. State Park; the calls they make; and their diet; along with social habits and nocturnal adaptations. Go through a real owl pellet and discover the diet of the Barn Owl. Adults and children of ages 5 and up are recommended and children should be accompanied by an adult. No pets are allowed in the Nature Center. Nature Center facilities include a restroom; water fountain; and is air-conditioned. Dress comfortable and bring a drink and a snack. Park entrance fees are required for this event. Children 12 years and under are free.
