The tiny White-collared Seedeater, which weighs less than two U.S. quarters, can only be found in three Texas counties--and it nests right here at Lake Casa Blanca! Join our park ranger as we learn about the life of the Seedeater, and then go on a hike to see it in its habitat.
Wear long pants and good walking shoes, and bring drinking water and sun protection. Meet in front of the Rock Barn (by Day Use Area E, see red star on map below). Binoculars provided, or bring your own. All ages welcome!
Note: Park programs are open to the public and free with park entrance fee. No need to register--just show up!
