Stars in the Park

The program begins with an overview of space using Stellarium, a real-time, computer generated view of the heavens.  After this sneak peek at what will be shining, you will step outside to amateur astronomers waiting to guide you through the night sky, each of their telescopes trained to a different planet, star, or galaxy.  The program will go on rain or shine.  Please bring a flashlight and dress for the weather.  (Put a red balloon or piece of red cellophane over the flashlight lens if you can in order to preserve our night vision. If not, we'll have red covers available as you arrive.)
