A lot of us share a Scotch/Irish heritage. With its promise of cheap, bountiful land, Texas attracted settlers from around the world, including Ireland and Scotland. Join us as we look at the unique Scotch/Irish heritage of Texas, what these settlers gave us and how this heritage is honored today.
Presentation times are 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., and the program will last approximately 35 to 40 minutes. This program is open to all ages but children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress appropriately for the season as the presentation takes place in a period setting.
Held at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site, 12300 Park Rd. 12, Washington, TX 77880. Accessible for the mobility impaired. Program subject to cancellation.
