The Friends of Colorado Bend have been working tirelessly on the new Tinaja Trail. The trail is not officially open to the public yet.
However, we will be having a guided hike to introduce this new trail.
This is a strenuous 4 mile hike that will show off this new addition to the impressive 33 mile collection of backcountry trails offered at Colorado Bend.
All ages are welcome, but you must be able to complete the entire trip. We will be venturing far into the backcountry and will not be able to accompany departing individuals back to the trailhead. Trail is rugged and hikers should plan on at least 3 hours. No pets.
- At least 1 liter of water per person
- Comfortable, but durable hiking shoes
- Bug repellent
We will depart from the Gorman Falls Trailhead at 1:00pm in your vehicle. After driving down to the Conference Center, we will begin the hike.
No Activity Fee. Park entrance fees are $5 per person over the age of 13, children 12 and under are free, or free with a current Texas State Park Pass.
