Turtles of Martin Dies Jr. State Park

This will be an educational program about turtles you may see at Martin Dies Jr. State Park. We will begin the program at 10am, inside the Nature Center and it will last about one hour. The program will cover the different species; charecteristics; breeding habits; diet; and distinguishing age. There will be hands on exhibits; pictures of actual turtles found and placed at the park; and also you can view our live turtles in their aquarium at the Nature Center. This program is for all ages and children should be accompanied by an adult. The Nature Center facilities are equiped with air-conditioning; water fountain; and restrooms. Dress comfortable. NO PETS are allowed inside the Nature Center. Park entrance fees are required for attending this event and children under age 13 are free.
