Venus Transit Astronomy Party

The Big Country Astronomy Society will join Abilene State Park to host a viewing of the Venus Transit. During this afternoon astronomy event the planet Venus will pass between the Earth and Sun and will be visible using telescopes with solar filters. The Venus Transit will not be seen again for 150 years. This event will start in the afternoon and evolve into a star party as the sun sets.
